That’s a Wrap on Summer at LCS

Company Spotlight

Summer’s just about over—and what a season it’s been at LCS. While our teams have been hard at work supporting our customers, building our business, and preparing for what’s ahead, we’ve also made time to celebrate the people who make LCS such a great place to work. From earning prestigious awards to a jam-packed schedule of culture-building employee events, our office has been filled with celebration, laughter, and incredible memories.

Here’s a quick recap of what we’ve been up to this summer, and a look at what’s ahead for the rest of the year.

Awards Season Wins

Summer began with two exciting reminders of the great work happening across LCS and Rent Manager. First, we were honored with several wins in both the Hermes Creative Awards and the American Business Awards. Then, LCS was recognized as a Top Workplace in Cincinnati by the Cincinnati Enquirer for the 15th consecutive year and as a Top Workplace USA by USA Today for the fourth time.

While we’re proud of every accolade on our trophy wall, these honors represent more than just awards—they’re recognition of the creativity, dedication, and hard work our employees bring to LCS every day. Seeing that work recognized on both the local and national levels is a special kind of pride. These announcements set the stage for a high-energy summer celebration of what makes LCS the best place to work. Which leads us to…

Summer Kickoff Party & 10th Anniversary of the Office

The official start of our summer employee events, our second-annual Summer Kickoff Party coincided with the 10th anniversary of the construction of our Waterstone Boulevard headquarters. Our team celebrated with a trip down memory lane and a summer afternoon bash featuring a photo display from the office construction, a dirty soda bar, a succulent station, and dessert from Beverly Ann’s Cookie Truck. The party was a resounding success, and we’re already looking forward to continuing the tradition for the next decade.

Bring Your Kid to Work Day

Our office once again played host to the young professionals of tomorrow with the return of LCS’ Bring Your Kid to Work Day in July. Parents had the opportunity to show their kids what a day at LCS is really like, with fun activities focused on career exploration and LCS education. Our young learners attended presentations on LCS’ role within the property management industry, explored how each department contributes to our mission, and learned how Rent Manager, LCS IT Services, and our other business solutions help our customers every day. It’s always a pleasure to get to know our team’s families, and it’s safe to say both the kids and parents had a great time.

Good Summer Eats

Summertime in the office wouldn’t be complete without some good food—and our lunch events certainly delivered! From local food truck favorites to the return of our Skyline Chili catered lunch, we filled both our bellies and our social cups all summer long.

Book Nook Hour

While the summer heat raged outside, we stayed cool and collected inside in August with the return of Book Nook Hour. Featuring a cozy array of snacks and beverages, plus a quiet room to escape to, our team had the chance to unwind during their lunch hour and get lost in the pages of a good book.

The 2026 LCS Olympics

Summer at LCS wouldn’t be complete without our favorite and most anticipated tradition: the LCS Olympics! We built the hype for our epic one-day bash over the entire season, starting with the energetic Olympics Reveal Party in June. Employees got to find out which of the eight Olympics teams they’d been assigned to, get a colorful bracelet to rep their team color, and mingle with their new teammates.

From there, the momentum kept building. The teams picked their names, signed up for games, and imagined gold medal glory until the big day finally arrived. Our entire workforce came together to battle it out in 13 tests of physical fitness, mental acuity, and teamwork, including The Price is Right, the Ultimate Obstacle Course, and the annual LCS Recreations Relay.

There were plenty of twists and turns along the way to the podium. Some of our PropTech partners—AmRent, AvidXchange, LeaseTrack, and Zego—even got in on the action as team sponsors and game participants! And while the games were going on outside, teams banded together for a day-long game of Capture the Flag inside the office for extra points. Everywhere we looked were smiling faces, competition, and more than 500 employees eagerly anticipating the Closing Ceremony to find out which team went home with the gold.

After we awarded more points for team spirit, displays of teamwork and good sportsmanship, and the most epic play of the day, one team emerged at the top of the leaderboard. Congratulations to Grape Scott for winning the 2026 LCS Olympics! Your win and our entire competition were the perfect ending to the summer season at LCS.

Keeping the Momentum Going

With summer in the rearview and fall now on the horizon, we’re staying busy at LCS. We’re gearing up for the 2026 Rent Manager User Conference in October, and we’re looking forward to a whole lot more fun and connection in the office, too! From our annual Halloween Costume Contest to charity initiatives and all the festivities the holiday season brings, we can’t wait to see what the rest of 2026 brings.
